Jon’s Purple Crayon

We didn’t make it to the beach yesterday. Sure….we hit the tennis courts and library, but they were most upset with my decision to skip the beach. If you have ever seen pictures of our beach spot you may sympathize with them but it can’t be helped. There is just too much to do and not enough time in the day.

To compensate for my decision, Jon used the proverbial “Purple Crayon” to make an underwater wonderland for our little mermaids. See? They’re underwater and loving it. Way to go Dad! They had a blast with sidewalk chalk and the camera. It’s easy to understand why their favorite part of the day is when he comes home from work.

As for sewing, I am in the process of drawing out the faces on the muslin doll pieces. It is taking some time, and we’re going to need a heck of a lot more sidewalk chalk so I can get these done.

Enjoy the photo and your day.

BTW, thank you (from Catherine) for the new dolly. She loves it and is napping with it as we speak. 🙂
